Hi everyone!

Pictures for today's styling were taken in front of the Melbourne Museum situated opposite the Royal Exhibition Building. Melbourne Museum is the largest one in the southern hemisphere and has a lot to offer. Melbourne Museum showcases Australian social history, Aboriginal cultures, science and the environment. Among the attractions is a complete skeleton of a blue whale, life-size dinosaur replicas, a living rainforest, Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre, a giant Rubik's Cube, as well as, numerous exhibits portraying the history of the city. One of the more popular exhibits is that of the iconic Australian racehorse - Phar Lap.

Today's outfit perfectly matches the exhibition. A blue sweater, white pants and high heels in a "marine" shade is both comfortable and elegant and perfect for a day out to the museum.

Zdjęcia do dzisiejszej stylizacji powstały przed Muzeum Melbourne, na przeciwko  Budynku Wystawy Królewskiej. Muzeum Melbourne uważane jest za największe na półkuli południowej i  ma bardzo wiele do zaoferowania.  Miedzy innymi, możemy obejrzeć takie atrakcje jak, kompletny szkielet wieloryba błękitnego, wystawę dinozaurów, tropikalną dżunglę, centrum Aborygenów Bunjilaka,  gigantyczną kostkę Rubika, a także liczne eksponaty prezentujące historię miasta i jeden z ważniejszych rekwizytów - duma australijczyków, koń wyścigowy - Phar Lap.

Mój dzisiejszy strój komponuje się z wystawą, błękitny sweter, białe rurki i szpilki w odcieniu "morskim" - wygodnie i elegancko, w sam raz na wyprawe po muzeum.

The centre piece of today’s stylization is the coat, whose isomorphic pattern is ‘David Jones’ famous company logo. The iconic black and white houndstooth pattern is one of the most famous corporation logos in Australia. The retail giant offers men’s, women’s and children’s clothing lines, in particular pitched at customers seeking high quality products, styles and customer service. Apart from an extensive collection of European labels, the stores also offer a wide range of products from Australian designers. David Jones’ counterpart in the polish clothing market is the retailer ‘Royal Collection’.

David Jones was founded in 1838 by David Jones a Welsh immigrant. This high-end Australian department store chain is claimed to be the oldest continuously operating department store in the world still trading under its original name. David Jones' branding, a black on white houndstooth pattern - is one of the most recognised corporate identities in Australia. The iconic design was the result of a 1967 rebranding exercise by Charles Lloyed Jones Jr., who desired that the store would be so well known by the design as to not require the use of the name on the packing. It was inspired allegedly from the houndstooth design on a Miss Dior  perfume bottle of his mother's, Hannah Jones.

Due to the popularity of this theme in recent times, it seemed obvious to mention this interesting fact when presenting to you my stylization. In my opinion the coat in combination with the high waist leather PU pants and a classic white shirt looks both elegant and sexy!

Głównym elementem dzisiejszej stylizacji jest płaszcz, którego deseń jest izomorficzny ze słynnym już znakiem firmowym  David Jones.  Biało czarny "houndstooth"  wzór - to jeden z najbardziej uznanych tożsamości korporacyjnych w Australii. Sieć handlowa, oferująca odzież damską, męską, młodzieżową, która przede wszystkim jest skierowana do klientów poszukujących wysokiej jakości produktów, stylu i profesjonalnej obsługi. Poza kolekcjami największych europejskich producentów, sklepy oferują także szeroki asortyment produktów australijskich. Odpowiednikiem David Jones na rynku odzieżowym w Polsce  jest sklep Royal Collection.

David Jones został założony w 1838 roku przez Davida Jonesa, walijskiego imigranta i jest uważany za najstarszy dom towarowy, stale działający pod oryginalną nazwą . Ze względu na popularność tego motywu ostatnimi czasami, wydało mi się oczywiste uwzględnienie tej ciekawostki ukazując Wam swoją stylizację. Wydaję mi się że płaszcz w połączeniu ze skórzanymi PU spodniami z wysokim stanem i klasyczną białą koszulą – wygląda elegancko i seksownie.

Hi everyone!

Today is all about white men's shirt, which can be also very useful in women's wardrobe!  The one's which are hanging in our closets, we can easily call oversize ladies shirts. The one I have got - years ago was my father's, now become my favourite one! Balance oversized shirt by keeping it simple, perfect combination with plain black pencil skirt, just classy! White shirt is this piece of clothing, which is versatile, eternal and affordable!

Dziś będzie o męskiej koszuli, która może być także bardzo przydatna w damskiej garderobie!  Ta która wisi u nas w szafach, możemy inaczej nazwać  kobiecą koszulą oversize. Ta którą dziś prezentuje, niegdyś była ulubioną mojego Taty, a teraz jest moją!  Łącząc koszulę oversize trzeba zachować równowagę dlatego moim zdaniem  tworzy idealną kombinację z prostą ołówkową spódnicą. Biała koszula jest tą częścią garderoby, która jest uniwersalna, wieczna i na każdą kieszeń!

Melbourne & My Perceptions!

Before I came here I was expecting beautiful summer weather and yes the first week in New South Wales was exactly that! But when I arrived in Melbourne I realized that I was going to need some more pullovers. Melbourne’s reputation for its changeable weather, meant I would need to be prepared for anything!  Luckily, for the old adage ‘mother knows best’, instead of bringing two pullovers I brought four and instead of bringing one coat I brought five.  Today I'm presenting my perfect checkered coat, long boots and vintage backpack. What do you think of this combination?

Melbourne & moje wyobrażenia!

Zanim tutaj przyjechałam spodziewałam się pięknej letniej pogody i rzeczywiście przez pierwszy tydzień, który spędziłam w New South Wales była cudowna! Niestety, jak tylko dojechałam do Melbourne zdałam sobie sprawę, że ilość i grubość sweterków ,które wzięłam może być nie wystarczająca.. pogoda tutaj może być bardzo zmienna!  no ale na szczęście są Mamy, które mają we krwi "wiedzieć wszystko najlepiej" także i tak nie jest tak źle, bo dzięki niej  zamiast dwóch sweterków mam cztery i zamiast jedenej kurteczki pięć  :) Dzisiaj przedstawiam Wam mój sweter/cardigan/płaszczyk w jednym, długie kozaki i vintage plecak. Co myślicie o tym zestawie, wpada Wam w oko?
